Communities across British Columbia looking to boost their outdoor recreational activities can now apply to the Outdoor Recreation Fund of BC.
The application period opened on March 28 and will remain open until April 30. According to a press release from the fund, the grants support 含羞草研究社渃ommunity-based initiatives that create and shape meaningful outdoor recreational and nature-based experiences for British Columbians.含羞草研究社�
The press release further explained that in 2023, the province contributed a one-time grant of $10 million to the Outdoor Recreation Council of BC which led to the establishment of the endowment fund, The Outdoor Recreation Fund of BC. This endowment fund will be a 含羞草研究社減erpetual funding source for the grant program.含羞草研究社�

含羞草研究社egistered charities and incorporated non-profit organizations
含羞草研究社ocal governments in BC
含羞草研究社ndigenous governments in BC
The media release explained the following applicants should consider applying:
含羞草研究社lign with the purpose of the fund
含羞草研究社lign with one (or more) of the three priorities
含羞草研究社re ready-to-go which means that any required authorizations are in place before applying
含羞草研究社ake place in British Columbia
含羞草研究社he project takes place in natural settings含羞草研究社攕uch as parks, trails, and natural aquatic areas含羞草研究社攁nd does not include activities that take place in highly cultivated recreation areas (such as playgrounds, skate parks or sports fields)
含羞草研究社rojects that can be completed before March 2025 will be preferred
The media release also noted that a 50 per cent matching contribution is necessary and that it can be fulfilled with the following:

含羞草研究社onated materials at verified fair market value
含羞草研究社onated accredited professional services at verified fair market value
含羞草研究社olunteer labour at $20/hour
