Hosted by the Regional Waste Reduction Office, the Repair Caf茅 takes place at the Okanagan College campus Centre for Learning Atrium on Saturday April 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

含羞草研究社淲ith the help of our talented volunteer fixers, we含羞草研究社檙e resurrecting the too good to toss mentality含羞草研究社攁 shift from the throw-away to a fix-it society,含羞草研究社� said Rae Stewart, with the Regional Waste Reduction Office.

And it含羞草研究社檚 all free.

含羞草研究社淢ost of our fixers are like-minded hobbyists who enjoy helping others and want to keep items out of the landfill,含羞草研究社� Stewart continued.

含羞草研究社淭hey含羞草研究社檙e all volunteering their time. They vary in age and background, just like those that come with broken items to be fixed.

含羞草研究社淭his is our fourth Repair Caf茅 so far, and momentum is really building with each event.含羞草研究社�

Stewart says the idea is not to come in, drop off your item for fixing, and then come back when it含羞草研究社檚 done, but instead to be part of the repair process. 含羞草研究社淭he Repair Caf茅 offers the opportunity to learn new skills, plus a chance to connect with skilled people. It含羞草研究社檚 a casual environment.含羞草研究社�
