Kelowna firefighters commemorate fallen colleagues on Sept. 11

Kelowna Firefightersº¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Éç™ Charitable Society invites the public to its 6th 9/11 Ceremony and Climb on Sept. 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Sutherland Park.

First Responders will honour those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001, and every day since, with a ceremony followed by walking up Knox Mountain Road (3.5 km), while wearing turnout gear to represent firefighters who climbed the Twin Towers in New York City.

There will be a full honour guard and pipes and drums ceremony followed by the climb to replicate 110-storeys. 

All proceeds go to the Kelowna Firefightersº¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Éç™ Charitable Society.
