Water discolouration in some West Kelowna neighbourhoods is a result of the Rose Valley Reservoir experiencing changed environmental conditions due to the McDougall Creek wildfire.
A media release from the city states increased levels of iron and manganese in the reservoir may be contributing to the discoloration.
