The executive director of the Okanagan Basin Water Board (OBWB) is seeking the B.C. NDP nomination for Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream.

She pointed out last year含羞草研究社檚 wildfires and protecting homes and water supplies from extreme weather and climate change as motivation for her decision.

Warwick Sears added that if selected as candidate she will be a voice for B.C. Interior issues.

含羞草研究社淲hich are not always well understood on the coast. I have spent my career listening to community needs, and advocating for community solutions. I intend to take this approach with me to Victoria.含羞草研究社�

OBWB Chair and Lake Country Mayor Blair Ireland, Vernon Mayor Victor Cumming, and Water Supply Association of B.C. Chair Bob Hrasko, endorsed Warwick Sears in a media release.

Warwick Sears will continue in her role at the OBWB through the provincial election, scheduled on or before October 19.

She has been with the board since 2006, and its executive director since 2007.
