The Okanagan Sun are looking to finish a perfect 10-0 in the regular season.

It's another massive sports weekend around the Central Okanagan.

Okanagan Sun

The Okanagan Sun have first place and home field advantage wrapped up in the British Columbia Football Conference (BCFC) but they still have someone to play for on Saturday, Sept. 28 - an undefeated season.

They welcome the Valley Huskers to the Apple Bowl as they look to complete a 10-0 season. The Huskers are riding a three-game winning streak and are 5-3 on the year as they still battle for a playoff spot.

Going into Saturday's contest, history is on the line as Sun running back Elelyon Noa is 200 rushing yards away from the BCFC record. He currently leads the league in five different categories - rushing yards (1,405), rushing yards per game (156.1), rushing touchdowns (19), points scored (126), and touchdowns scored (21).

It is also the third annual Burn Fund game on Saturday night. The game raises money for Kelowna and West Kelowna Firefighters' Charitable Society. There will be a tailgate party in the east parking lot of the Apple Bowl ahead of the game with bouncy castles, music, and games. Additionally, a full honour guard flag ceremony will open the game and there will be halftime entertainment will see some competition between firefighters and the kids.

Everyone age 19 and older who attends the game will receive free entry to OK Corral after the match.

Kick off at the Apple Bowl is at 4 p.m.

Kelowna Rockets

Familiar faces are returning to the Rockets lineup as they have a two-game weekend ahead of them.

Defenceman Caden Price and forward Hiroki Gojsic are expected back in the line-up on Friday night at Prospera Place against the Victoria Royals. Both have been assigned back to the Rockets from the NHL teams, Seattle and Nashville respectively.

Kelowna is coming off a 5-3 loss to Portland while Victoria is 1-0-1 to start the year.

Friday night's puck drop is at 7:05 p.m.

The Rockets will have Saturday off before heading down south for their first battle in the United States this season as they take on the Everett Silvertips (0-1) on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 4:05 p.m.

West Kelowna Warriors

The Warriors are finally on home ice at Royal LePage Place on Friday night as they start a home-and-home series with the Vernon Vipers.

On Friday night, puck drop is at 7 p.m. while on Saturday, the two teams head up Highway 97 and play at 6 p.m. at Kal Tire Place.

On Friday, the team will be in Spokane to take on the Braves while the following night, they'll take on the Beaver Valley Nitehawks. Both games are at 7 p.m.
