Green Party fields candidate in Penticton-Summerland riding

Bradley Bartsch has worked as a consultant for nonprofit organizations

A Green Party candidate has declared his candidacy for the Penticton-Summerland riding in the upcoming B.C. provincial election.

Bradley Bartsch, president of Langley-based Bradley Bartsch Consulting Inc., will represent the party.

Bartsch含羞草研究社檚 consulting work has been in campaign strategy and design, high net-worth constituent relations and team coaching. He has worked with nonprofit organizations including Co:Here Foundation, World Vision Canada, Simon Fraser University, Trinity Western University, Tyndale University College and Seminary, Mennonite Educational Institute, Ronald McDonald House, S.A.L.T.S. Sailing and Life Training Society, the Abbotsford Heat Hockey Club and Crossroads Christian Communications.

Bartsch grew up on the west coast of Canada and graduated from Simon Fraser University. In 2017, he experienced a major life challenge as he suffered a significant stroke and worked his way back to health.

He said this experience has made him more committed to serving his community.

Bartsch and his wife moved to Penticton in August 2021.

In the last provincial election, the Green Party in the riding of Penticton received 3,152 votes of the 27,429 ballots cast, or 11.49 per cent support.

That candidate, Ted Shumaker, had lived in the South Okanagan for more than 30 years. 

The riding has elected BC Liberal, now BC United, candidates since 1996.
