Celebrate B.C. Trails Day by tripping along Kelowna含羞草研究社檚 Mission Greenway

Walkers are encouraged to wear their favourite festive and fancy hats to enter a draw to win prizes

Regional District Central Okanagan (RDCO) Parks encourages everyone to celebrate B.C. Trails Day on June 1.

Participants can walk all or part of the 6.5 kilometre trail between Mission Recreation Park access at Lexington Drive to Mission Creek Regional Park access at Durnin Road.

Regional parks staff and volunteers at both starting points will help direct walkers.

含羞草研究社淲e are excited to hold an event for residents to mark the occasion of our 50th year to help them connect with nature on the Greenway,含羞草研究社 said Rose Maunder, RDCO event planner and park Interpreter.

Those who walk the entire distance can hop on a free shuttle service running between the two trailheads.

Shuttles will be available until 12:30 p.m. Unfortunately, they cannot transport dogs or bicycles.

Walkers are encouraged to wear their favourite festive and fancy hats to enter a draw to win prizes.

Community exhibitors and festive performers will also be walking the trail entertaining participants.

Visitors are asked to follow flaggers含羞草研究社 directions where the Greenway crosses K.L.O. Road and Casorso Road.
