There含羞草研究社檚 a new way for kids to be kids at Strathcona Beach Park beside Kelowna General Hospital.

A new play structure is now officially open, with features that allow those of all abilities to be active and independent.

含羞草研究社淲e know play supports kids含羞草研究社� wellbeing by boosting happiness, inspiring creativity, and strengthening social connections,含羞草研究社� said Kelowna Mayor Tom Dyas. 含羞草研究社淭he city is pleased to have a new, safe and inclusive space that welcomes everyone who visits this popular park.含羞草研究社�

The playground includes rubber surfacing, a colour palette to support those with vision impairment, and barrier-free access to the different features.

The park含羞草研究社檚 proximity to KGH played a major factor in the development of the playground, with a $150,000 grant awarded to the KGH Foundation Kiwanis Legacy Fund going directly into the construction.

含羞草研究社淭he KGH Foundation Kiwanis Legacy Endowment Fund has a mission to help children and youth by providing funding for projects that enhance their health and well-being,含羞草研究社� said Kiwanis Legacy Fund Committee Chair Wendy Falkowski. 含羞草研究社淪upporting the city in creating spaces in our community that enable play for kids of all ages and abilities fully aligns with this vision.含羞草研究社�
