Hawksley Workman concert announced for Salmon Arm

Salmon Arm Folk Music Society to host Canadian singer-songwriter at Song Sparrow Hall

Hawksley Workman is working his way back to Salmon Arm.

The singer-songwriter, who rocketed to fame on the Canadian music scene with the release of his second album, (Last Night We Were) The Delicious Wolves (2001), and hits including Jealous of Your Cigarette and Striptease, is booked to play Song Sparrow Hall on Sunday, Nov. 3. The show is being presented by the Salmon Arm Folk Music Society (SAFMS).

One of the musicians among the stellar 2006 ROOTSandBLUES Festival lineup, Workman was set to play the 2023 festival but the event was cancelled after the first day due to wildfire.

The SAFMS and its artistic director Kevin Tobin announced Tuesday, April 9, that Workman is primed to return to Salmon Arm, with a show rooted in a catalogue of 17 solo records, 含羞草研究社渋ncluding everything from major label international smash hits to Canadiana-soaked indie releases.含羞草研究社
