Kelowna Rockets drop last two pre-season games ahead of home opener

The Kelowna Rockets wrapped up their pre-season with two losses against the Vancouver Giants.

On Saturday, Sept. 14, Kelowna lost 3-2 in overtime at Prospera Place. The Rockets were up 2-0 in the second, but the Giants would tie the game. There was no scoring in the third. Vancouver scored the overtime winner on the power play. 

In Ladner on Sunday, Sept. 15, the Rockets fell 5-2 to the Giants in an afternoon game. Vancouver went up 2-0 in the first before Kelowna got one back halfway through the period. The Giants made it 3-1 before the end of the first.

There was no scoring in the second period, but the Rockets added one more goal while Vancouver potted two more for the 5-2 win.

The Rockets open the 2024-2025 season at home on Sept. 21 when they welcome the Portland Winterhawks to Prospera Place. 

Tickets are available at , by calling 250-762-5050 or by visiting the Prospera Place box office between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The box office opens at 1 p.m. on Saturday for home games.
