A Vancouver company, with an office in Kelowna, came under scrutiny in Princeton last week after at least one employee was seen knocking on doors, promoting clean water.
The municipal hall received numerous calls from concerned residents.
含羞草研究社淪ome company was going around asking about the quality of our water and it turns out they are a private company that is trying to sell something,含羞草研究社 said Mayor Spencer Coyne.
The company, EV Green, markets water purification units, according to its website. It also solicits donations to supply clean drinking water to other areas and sells franchises for the business.
Town hall posted on Facebook, reassuring citizens that the town, in cooperation with Interior Health, monitors the local water supply daily.

Much of Princeton has been under a boil water advisory since the flood of November 2021.
New wells and a new treatment plant are in the works and should be completed by fall.
On Lachine Avenue a salesperson saying he represented EV Green was going door-to-door, saying he was aware that Princeton water is compromised. While he was wearing a lanyard, he could not produce a business card.
Coyne said bylaw and other town officials were unable to locate the individual following that encounter.
