Kamloops RCMP are investigating a suspicious death of a man and his dog.

Police were called to the scene near Inks Lake in the Logan Lake Community Forest, west of Highway 5 on Dec. 16, in the afternoon. They discovered a man in his 50s and a large dog both deceased. A green Ford Explorer he was driving was found nearby.

Staff Sgt. Sascha Fesenko of the Tkº¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Éç™emlúps Rural RCMP Detachment said that the death is still under investigation. The deceased was last seen leaving his Kamloops residence with his dog around 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, in an older model Ford Explorer.

The area where the deceased was found is a popular location for outdoor activities so the RCMP remain hopeful that someone saw something and will contact the police with related information.

Anyone who may have seen the vehicle on Dec.15 or 16, or any associated activity that may be related to this incident, is asked to please contact the Tkº¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Éç™emlúps Rural RCMP Detachment at 250-314-1800.
