After several days of 35 plus degrees of heat, the North Okanagan has rain, and thunderstorms, on the horizon.
Environment Canada has issued an alert for a severe thunderstorm watch.
According to the alert, "there is a heightened risk of debris flows over areas impacted by burn scars."
The alert area begins just south of Oyama, up north through Anglemont, east of Cherryville and just west before Lytton.
In Vernon, there is a 60 per cent chance of showers, with wind gusts up to 40 km/h.
