Chase RCMP responded to a dropped 911 call on April 4 that ended up being from a man who was 含羞草研究社渁nnoyed含羞草研究社 at being woken up by an Amber Alert. (file photo)

Chase RCMP reiterate that 911 is for emergency calls only.

The detachment was notified of a dropped 911 call from a cellphone on April 4, the day the Langley RCMP issued an Amber Alert. Before the call was disconnected, the male caller said he含羞草研究社檇 gotten the alert and didn含羞草研究社檛 have any information.

As the 911 operator was unable to confirm if there was an actual emergency relating to the call, police were dispatched to the caller含羞草研究社檚 address where officers spoke with the man.

含羞草研究社淗e eventually admitted he phoned 911 because he had been woken by the Amber Alert and was annoyed,含羞草研究社 Const. Sarah Van Wilgenburg said in a May 2 media release. 含羞草研究社淚n hindsight, he realized it was not the proper action to take.含羞草研究社
