Warriors slip past Vees in Game 3

Penticton's lead in BCHL playoff series cut to two games to one

The West Kelowna Warriors are right back in their second-round BCHL playoff series with the Penticton Vees.

On Monday at Royal LePage Place, the Warriors edged the Vees 2-1 and now trail the best-of-seven series two games to none.

Game 4 goes tonight in West Kelowna, with face off at 7 p.m.

Liam Blackburn notched the game winner on a rebound, breaking a 1-1 tie at 8:19 of the third.

The teams traded first period goals in front of 1,342 fans at LePage, with Nicholas Jones scoring for the Vees and Jonathan Desbiens for West Kelowna.

Game 5 will be played Friday night at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
