A very polite and nice thing happened to a gaggle of Canada geese in Chilliwack.

The feathered family of eight 含羞草研究社� two adults and six goslings 含羞草研究社� were escorted across Yale Road at Nowell Street in downtown Chilliwack on Friday, April 29.

含羞草研究社淭oday one of our officers had the honour of keeping some of our nation含羞草研究社檚 most famous flock safe,含羞草研究社� RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Krista Vrolyk said.

It was Const. Gurpreet Manhas who helped the birds cross.

含羞草研究社淚t was a pleasure to help these geese cross the road. My concern was they were going to get hit by a car. I含羞草研究社檓 glad they made it safely,含羞草研究社� Const. Manhas said.

They crossed the street almost inside the lines of the crosswalk, but not quite. The event was captured on video by Amara Jacklynne Moore.

She said it was 含羞草研究社渃ute含羞草研究社� to witness the crossing.

含羞草研究社淎 couple of us had quite the time making sure they got to the Salish pond safely after the officer had made sure they crossed the street safely,含羞草研究社� Moore said.
